Maynard Opening an Organic Market with Wine Tasting

It appears that there is not much money to be made from selling CDs. Tool and Puscifer front man, Maynard (Maynard James Keenan) is opening up an organic grocery store in Cornville, Arizona. This is not going to be your normal grocery store; it will feature a commercial kitchen and a wine tasting room. I suppose that tasting room is for sampling the wine that Maynard offers from his own cellar in Sadona. Organic is the way to go. The profit margins are hefty. Poor people can’t afford to eat so well.

Maynard already owns a small Puscifer themed store in Jerome to offset the lack of CD sales. Maynard offers this, “Downloading has crushed the idea of making CDs on a larger scale, so we’re gonna fund our recording and fun projects by attempting to sell you T-shirts and dog toys and dildos and things. We have a tool for every job.”

  1. I think it’s interesting to see what bands are doing these days to compensate for poor record sales and music downloading. I say more power to the band if they take the time to do something more for their fans. Whether it’s opening an organic market or offering exculsive pre-sales, it shows the band takes the time cater to their audience. Anyone who is a huge of Tool would love to visit Maynard’s store. If Dave Grohl or Bruce Dickinson ever opened a business of some sort, I would be the first one in line to see it and support them.

  2. great good…this post deserves nothing :( …hahaha simply joking :P …nice publish :P
