Warrior Soul – Downtown – Music Video (New York Angst)

Warrior Soul is one of those bands that you crank up when you are pissed off. While this is not “hard core” or punk in a sense that you might think, it’s angry, pissed off, political heavy metal at its best. Despite critical acclaim and being voted on MTV as the best live act, Warrior Soul brokeup around 1995.

My favorite tracks are “Downtown,” and “The Losers” from the first album. The George Bush inspired, “Children Of The Winter”  from the second album. “Love Destruction”, “Shine Like It”, “Punk and Belligerent” and  ”Ghetto Nation” from the third album. Their last album, Space Age Playboys, is considered by many to be their best work.
As of late, Kory Clarke (vocals), has been announced as the new singer for Trouble (another band we’ll write about here in the future). There may be some new stuff from Warrior Soul, as well, coming in the future.

Studio Albums:
(1990) Last Decade Dead Century
(1991) Drugs, God and the New Republic
(1992) Salutations from the Ghetto Nation
(1993) Chill Pill
(1994 UK, 1995 US) Space Age Playboys
