Unsung Heroes of the Entourage (Part 5 in a 1 Part Series) – Mammas & The Papas

Bobby “Puddin Pop” Wiley (Chef for the Mammas and the Papas)

“I started out with them around the mid sixties I was working at the brown derby when they came in and apparently they like my potato stroganoff,” Bobby shared with us.

“Oh god, it was a 24/7 job, Cass was the main one the others didn’t eat much, but Cass was always coming up to me with new culinary ideas like deep fried ham and deep fried chocolate cake basically just taking a already established food and deep frying it.”

Bobby stayed with the band until they broke up in 68 and left with Cass and stayed with her until the end. “I was under a lot of stress, long hours, and just such a mass volume of food to deal with. One night she called me around 3 o’clock in the morning, and I told her to fix her own damn sandwich and well y’know.”

Bobby now works as a Subway sandwich Artisan.
