That Metal Show Pick of the Week

That Metal Show Pick of the Week

Eddie Trunk and the guys of That Metal Show on VH1 Classic had an exceptional show this week. Before I get into the Pick of the Week, I wanted to mention that Ronnie James Dio and Geezer Butler from Heaven & Hell were this week’s guests. Geezer is great and Dio is as gracious as ever. Make sure that you check out the Rock n Roll View review of the new album Heaven & Hell – The Devil You Know.

Normally guys of That Metal Show only have one Pick of the Week, this week they had two. The new album for Saxon called Into the Labyrinth made it. If you haven’t already checked out the Rock n Roll View review of Into the Labyrinth, head on over there and do so. Don’t forget to buy yourself a copy to support they guys rocking their asses off.

The other pick of the week is Rudo Sarzo’s book Off the Rails. Dio gave his endorsement of the book on the show. What else do you need to know? What this book does is give a first hand account of one the greatest rock guitarist, Randy Rhoads. This book tell the tale of what it was like to be in Ozzy Osbourne’s band at the time of his re-surging career after Black Sabbath. Of course there is Rudy’s own story of rags to riches of one of the best known bass players from the 1980’s.
