It’s not often a new band comes along with a fresh sound that takes up the rock n roll flag and runs with it. You may have heard their sound before, but you have never heard Fools for Rowan. Just like you heard rock n roll before Led Zeppelin, they just put it in a whole new dimension. I’m not saying Fools for Rowan is the “new” Led Zeppelin, I’m saying that Fools for Rowan will help you appreciate music again after all the tired and warn out corporate pop or untalented basement bands.
Is it that the songs are so good? Is it that the band is so good? Is it that, lead singer, Erin’s voice is so textured and powerful? Is it the quality of the production? Is it the X factor that is undefinable? I say all the above!
Did I mention that this band is led by a sultry female singer and a badass female guitar player (see photos below). If the guy’s in the band read this, I’m sorry. You guys are cool and all, but who can ignore talented rock n roll girls?

She looks hot and for a female rock artist, I think she “rocks”! From your review, they sound interesting. Will try listening to some of their songs.
I’ve seen this band live at an outdoor music festival and they are the real deal. The lead singer has a voice that just soars and she has a stage presence that isn’t forced/staged/posed, it’s just natural, seductive and good. These guys are fortunate enough to have two great guitarists, which they showcase to great effect on their song “Burnt Around the Edges”, and yes, it is most excellent to see a female in the lead guitar role, especially one who reminds you of Nancy Wilson AND Jimmy Page rolled into one rockin’ package. Top it all off with a bassist who really gets into the music and a powerful drummer who can both lead the onslaught as well as back off at the right moments. Plus, I think these guys really like each other . . . a lot! Go see them if you can, before they become huge.
