About the Artist: This latest EP “Inevitable” (2012) from Igby Iris. who hails from Michigan. He is making a name for himself around the Grand Rapids area for being an explosive live performer. Additionally he has received critical acclaim form many music critics around the globe thus far.

Review: “Inevitable” is one release that certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is one artist that brings to the table effective songwriting with an amazing yet passionate visual/vocal appeal meshed with a superlative Alternative Rock sound. Iris even touches on Gothic Rock and Hard Rock. This CD is quite entertaining with infectious vocal persona coupled with impressive well-crafted one-man-band musicianship and sound. Overall it was an emotional journey which will have the ladies wanting his full length release this Summer. All in all – all songs are wonderfully simple but masterful in their overall arrangements. Music reminded me of a cross between Muse and Trest Reznor. There are some fantastic moments on this EP which gives Iris an amazing feel emotionally when connecting with a fanbase. What’s more, Iris’s vocal abilities are as good as they get within this genera. Kudos goes out to all the behind the scenes work by Iris himself.

Conclusion: It’s hard to find any flaws with this latest EP from Iris. He leaves a lasting impression even after the music is over and is clearly a very talented and capable songwriter. This usually indicates he is something special that’s deserving of praise, recognition and above all musical fame at the international level.
