About the Artist: This is Blacklist Union’s latest CD entitled Til’ Death do us Part released in 2012. In their own words: Formed in 2004 by frontman Tony West, BLU released their debut “After The Mourning” April of 2006 which was met by critical acclaim all across the globe. From Memphis to Melbourne to Louisiana to London, Blacklist Union instantly made a mark throughout the rock-n-roll underground . Their follow up in 2008 “Breakin’ Bread With The Devil” received the same amount of critical acclaim and certainly put them on the map in the rock n roll world yet again. With all of their hard work and perseverance, Blacklist Union has dominated the rock n roll underground and their newest release “TIL DEATH DO US PART will be certainly exposing them to a larger audience around the world. Blacklist Union is a true rock n roll band that continuously pushes themselves to the limit in every aspect of their music. Singer/songwriter Tony West tackles real life situations that affect each and every one of us in one form or another. From character assassination, to name dropping, addictions, sexual innuendos, romance , friendships, birth, death and living on the edge of destruction is just a fraction of what is touched on in their music. Well said!

Review: Till’ Death do us Part” is one release that certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is one band that brings to the table effective songwriting via a highly marketable musical delivery and at times explosive in nature. This meshed with a one in a million Alt-Rock sound and effective visuals and vocals make for a very effective combination no doubt. Blacklist Union is just a breath away from Metalcore but skillfully and methodically never crosses the line into either realm. All songs are wonderfully simple but masterful in their overall arrangements. Music reminded me of a cross between Saosin, Days of the New, Story of the Year, Taking Back Sunday and STP. This CD is quite entertaining overall with an amazing vocal front of Tony West who is a musical triple threat in my mind. This is a world class Rock n Roll. West has an amazing voice and the rest of his contribution are quite impressive. The lyrical content is straight from the heart and offers a very strong and confident male perspective and spirit. All songs do exactly what they are meant to do via well-crafted movements and top tiered musicianship. The overall production value is superb with a crystal clear sound quality.

Top Tracks: Alabama Slammer, I Don’t Love You Anymore, Same Ol’ Pressure

Conclusion: Blacklist Union is one hell of a ride and Tony West has proven himself again with this latest release. They are clearly an up and coming talent around Hollywood and rock the house! All band members bare clearly capable musicians. I must admit Til’ Death do us Part sucked me in like a powerful drug and refused to let go long after the CD was over. This usually indicates he is something special about the artist or band in question. Thus deserving praise, recognition and musical fame at the international level.
